Laura Wissler
A native of Lancaster County, Laura Wissler began her musical education studying performance, theory, and composition. Laura's early focus on piano, harp, and vocal performance at local schools, including the Pennsylvania Academy of Music, eventually led her to Houghton College, where she earned her degree in Piano Performance with a minor in Harp Performance at the 'Greatbatch School of Music.' After leaving New York, she accepted a teaching position at the Cary School of Music in North Carolina to instruct a diverse piano study, and create the school's harp program.
West Coast
Laura's studio grew to over 60 clients before she moved to Los Angeles. While on the west coast, Laura taught at the Help Group School for Autism, where she broadened her instructional perspective through general classroom sessions, one-on-one music therapy, and her role as Director of the school's Event Choir (where she directed performances with musical guests including Temptations' lead singer, Luis Price, hip-hop icon, Common, and others) Simultaneously, Laura taught private piano lessons at the Royal Music Academy of Beverly Hills and Music Teacher Los Angeles. She became MTAC California State Certified, enabling selected students to participate in the state competition for Certificate of Merit.
